barre 3 45 (bear crawl with the band, mostly watched this part!); yesterday lots of walking with DH. We saw some folks practicing cricket in the park -- very cool.

Happy Mothers Day to all/ and Fur Mom's day!

Cheryl, got it. I thought you might be a stretch hater like my DH.

Cynthia, looks like you made another Contradance convert. Nice

Lynn DH and I went to lunch with a church friend. She doesn't have any other family here.

Today I did a no-repeats upper body strength from Heather. It's crazy how fast my muscles lose tone if I don't remain consistent. I did get a lot of steps every day this past week, so that's good.

Lynn, I really enjoy stretching, but not for my main workout. I like to stretch while watching a movie or show and take my time with it. It's like a massage!

Cynthia, how fun to have a new friend enjoy contradancing too.

Diana, it's always a blessing to share meals with people who don't have family or close friends around.

barre 3 30 min. signature. Weather just turned toward the 90s. Need to pull out my summer clothes.

Cheryl, that's a great idea for stretching. It can be hard to get enough in. I worry about my DH because he never stretches and I can see that he doesn't have much flexibility and that can be a problem when you age. He understands about cardio and strength training but just doesn't get the stretch issue so I see him putting his shoes on walls to tie them.

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to share a Blessing that I had today. This will probably sound funny, which I agree, but it was a real Blessing for me. I mentioned before about the new accounting program at church and me working in the office. I arrived at church today around 11:30 to do the office stuff. We were finished and left around 4:30. In the beginning, while getting everything set up, there were days that we got there at 9 AM and didn't leave until 7:30 PM. This was a real Blessing for me.

Check-In: JS Poise & Grace and 1 hour outdoor walk (temps have been really nice)

Heather's HIIT recommendation from Cheryl (Knee Friendly 30 minute)-- really enjoyed it!

Diana, your blessing does sound funny, but now with sorting the papers in my office, I totally get it! If I can tame that task like the church accounts are getting tamed, I will count that a blessing as well. So far, haven't done it. Has is not gotten too hot by you? We are already nearing that this week.

Cheryl, thanks for that recommendation. That workout was as fun as cardio gets for me and though each segment seemed very doable I was really sweating by the end. It went by fast and the music was so enjoyable.

Cynthia, so nice you had such a pleasant time with your DD and boyfriend. Great she found such a good partner. It can be difficult when your kid ends up with an unpleasant one, as some of my friends/family have attested.

Lynn LOL I'm telling you, I celebrate the little things. We had one day last week low 90's but other than that it's in the 70's. I'll also celebrate the 70's because in no time it will be 100 degrees with a 99% humidity, feel like 150 degrees, LOL.

Check-in: from Debbie Siebers' Body Dynamix 2: Balance and Agility, and Put Pep in Your Step (low impact cardio).

I did pretty well on the balances. There's one cue for balance that I learned from Lashaun Dale in a long-ago Body Bar DVD; never heard any other instructor say this. "Pinch your cheeks" by which she meant, tighten your glutes. Engage your core may contemplate this but doesn't really. More than tighten your abs.

I've had this DVD set for a long time and ignored it. Now, apparently, the company, Livati, only does streaming.
