I do this, but instead of praying hands, I'm holding a KB.
I stay down for a bit and pop up and go back down and stay....
Really has helped my low back...scoliosis. My balance and legs also look better.
Wow, thanks for posting this. I do garland at the end of every yin practice before standing up. I have scoliosis too, I'll see how my body likes adding some weight and repetition.
I've heard the expression Primal Squat, and there are videos on You Tube. I don't think the legs are held as far apart in this version, but it's basically a deep squat where you keep your bottom off the ground.
