I've got a Belfast theme going on here.
Just finished Stuart Neville's, "the Ghosts of Belfast." And, currently reading Adrian McKinty "the Cold Cold Ground" Sean Duffy series. I prefer McKinty's writing style and he's from the area he writes about, with great descriptions and prose. Both are heavier and grittier topics than I normally care to read about, but I've been just diving in.
For short stories, I've been reading an M. R. James Ghost stories collection for the month of October. Also, Belfast Noir.
