Looking for workouts that incorporate both abs & stretch

Hello,

does any one have any answers to the question above?

I was thinking of something like Amy Bento's AbS & stretch, or any other workout that just incorporates the two and is probably 30 minutes long.

Thanks

Pilates and yoga core work should incorporate both if you're willing to go that route.

Karen Voight has one - Stretch and Core Conditioning. It’s 45 min but it has segments you can choose, iirc.

Hello thanks for that both of you. I have done some pilates in the past, but I will look specifically for both in the workout. The Karen voight looks good. I do not have that workout.

Almost any Pilates workout has an element of stretching in it. You extend your arms and legs out long in a lot of moves (not the rolling ones). You might want to go to the library and look at some Pilates books to determine which moves have the most stretching in them, and then emphasize those moves when you follow along on screen.

stephanie huckabee's powerful has a disc #5 that is core and stretch. I haven't done those in too long but I did enjoy them back in the day-20minutes long.

I have some pilates workouts from a while back I will look at them again.

Do you think that pilates alone will increase basic flexibility?

the first ones that came to mind were some vintage workouts:

Rodney Yee - Abs Yoga for Beginners (20 min)

Suzanne Deason - Balance Ball Fitness Abs (26 min)
http://www.videofitness.com/reviewsd...view.php?id=34

Rodney's is more yoga-based, and Suzanne's is pilates-based. of the two, Suzanne's is more difficult. both are good to give you different approaches. i used to do Rodney's workout a lot, and like how he does a final move to re-align the back using a reclined cobbler pose.

Hi Bzar,

do you know I just recently purchased these. a couple of months ago because they were part of a multi pack and cheap. I still have not used them though.
