Yesterday I did Jessica’s Pear Shape Workout
AND Yoga with Joelle’s 10 min Yoga for POSTURE - Lose the hunchback and fix kyphosis and upper back pain!

Today I did KCM’s Cardio Quick Fix, Workout #1
AND Yoga with Kassandra’s 10 min Core Strength Yoga for Abs

Paine: I think I’ll try Jessica’s "Rejuvenate" this week. I’ll bet more VFers will be in that 70+ age group soon. So many of us are in our 60s now and I hope we keep hanging out here to encourage one another to keep exercising safely as we age!

Pam: I like to mix up doing full body strength and split sessions. Thinking about some splits this week as I’ve done mainly total lately. Congrats to your DS2 on his graduation! Sounds like you deserved that rest day!

cyana: Hope that you have a nice visit with your son.

Beth: Glad you had a beautiful Saturday! Thanks for sharing the yoga videos of your new yin practices and the belly fat one from Himanshu Gairola. All look good!

Sandra: Sorry to hear about the return of the 500 Error! Hopefully you can post more tomorrow.

We got a bit of rain today and temps cooled down into the 60s! Have some windows open this evening to enjoy the fresh cool air.

Sandra, so sorry you got the error.

Carolyn, sounds like the north is agreeing with you! Did you like Jessica's Pear-Shape Workout? That's generally my shape.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Kathy Smith Total Body Lift (Butt Lift workout and Leg Lift workout)

Pam, congratulations to your DS2!! That's exciting.
I honestly don't like cooking (never did!) so I'd rather do all my food prep on the weekend so I can just heat up leftovers in the microwave during the week. When I was a young mother, I would cook nearly every day--yuck!

Sandra, sorry about the 500 Error. That's so frustrating.

Carolyn, I completely agree with you and hope we keep hanging out here to encourage one another to keep exercising safely as we age as it really helps me! I'll be 67 in a few months and I hope I'll still be working out in my 70's and 80's if I live that long.

Good morning! The first thing I saw after opening my laptop today was an email from YMAA suggesting I Learn How to Train My Balls. okay .... Last couple of days:

Friday:
~ Lunch walk
~ Bellyfit Sacred Heart from Springtime Ritual
~ Kassandra Evening Challenge #22, Yin for Sleep plus evening affirmations
~ 4,866 steps

Saturday:
~ Jessica Valant Everyday Pilates Workout
~ Bird 10 minute morning yoga
~ GYM for 15 recumbent bike plus 45 weight machines and dumbbells
~ Half mile beach walk
~ 4,866 steps

Sacred Heart was very low key. Some might find it too beginner-ish but it was perfect for how I felt Friday evening.

Paine - I also plan to keep working out no matter how old. The weakness and frailty of my mother and sister in their final years hangs over my like the Sword of Damocles.

Sandra, oh no! How frustrating.

Carolyn, that looks like a good little yoga practice for neck and shoulder hunching from the keyboard, too.

Pam, how fun we both did Sacred Heart on the same day! Big congratulations to your son, what a tremendous achievement. Does he have a specialty in mind?

Cyana, the nest is getting crowded! The other day we had a cold rain and both chicks huddled into mama's breast and she did her best to form an umbrella with her wings and mantle them.

Waves to all.

Pat, thanks for the laugh! The more I see people I care about turning old and frail, the more I am motivated to exercise also.

Pam, I missed the news about your son before - congratulations to him for finishing his residency! Is he going to be able to stay in the area?

Hello!

Let's see if I have better luck today.

Today's Workout: I did the Upper Body section of Jessica Smith's Split Session Strength. I followed it with the Upper Body Stretch from Fitness Fix -- only four minutes, but nice. After that I watched but did not do the foam rolling segment on the same DVD. It looks good, though, and I've earmarked it to try at a later date.

Paine and Carolyn: I hope to be around and posting when I get into my 70s also! Hoping VF hangs in there with us.

Waving to all!
