FitterChick, I use my step bench (the Reebok one) with two risers in each side. If Joyce wants to do incline anything (like supine chest presses), I remove a riser from one end. It's sturdy and works like a weight bench, it's just not as tall.

I dont think that you necessarily need a bench, you could do these exercises on the floor if you don't have a bench. I use my step as a bench for all of my strength workouts.

I did Bra Roll last week and used my stability ball instead of my bench.

I just ordered the Just Arms/Thighs dvd from New Idea. I really am in need of shorter workouts right now and I have heard good things about it. Now that there are other sources to buy, I am very curious to try Joyce again. I already have a very nice email from Ann about my order. I'll post a review of the dvd when I get it

If time is not a factor I'd recommend BUG+, I really get great results from this one - it is a plateau buster for me. I don't like the ab work (too long) so I use other things for abs. I'd also recommend the Just Joyce series, I think these would complement each other well. BUG is slower and has more rests - JJ is giant sets (mostly) and no rests.

Thanks Terrie!! I took your advice and ordered The Lowerbody Emergency Kit from Joyce's website. The set consist of BUG+ and The Just Joyce series. I definitely need a plateau buster as well as something to work my entire lowerbody! I have the most stubborn thighs on the planet, so hopefully this will help. I hope to see slimmer hips and toner thighs in no time!!

Talking Oh no!!

It's happening again - another thread which will enable me and have me whipping out my CC for new workouts.

I love high rep weight training - it works wonders for my body and I need more of these workouts - but the buying has to stop

BTW, what's the music like in the Just Joyce series?

*DEEP BREATHE* (trying not to go to Joyce's website.....)

Music? What music? It's quite low and Joyce doesn't follow the beat. It's just...there...in the background. Don't buy it for the music! Buy it for the time effectiveness, the results, I say.
