Use often:
Elliptical Trainer
Bosu
Sony 5-DVD changer
Poor woman's high step (rubbermaid toolbox stepstool)
Reebok Step
Assorted dumbbells
Tubing/bands (now that I'm rehabbing a shoulder injury, I'm glad to have these)
Stability Ball
Good workout shoes (probably my best investment)
Yoga sticky mat

Use occasionally (things that have more or less earned their keep):
Firm 10# sculpting stick (as well as its component parts)
15# body bar
5# hard medicine ball
3# squishy ball
ankle weights

Have yet to use:
Pilates rings
Aquabells

Dust bunny:
Reebok core board (although it can add an additional balance challenge to kickboxing workouts....and I have hope for the new CIA that uses it)

Nancy, I think people can and do sometimes exchange smaller pieces of equipment. And I've seen folks advertise their bigger stuff on ya yas, but usually it's such a pain to pack and ship that they prefer to exchange with those in their own cities. Craigslist can be good for that.

Let's see:
elliptical
Yoga mat (UT orange )
Balanceball
step
weighted gloves
ankle weights
assorted light dumbbells
pilates ring

Except for the pilates ring, everything is used regularly. I've been getting lazy about putting all the stuff away and DH remarked that it looked like I was getting ready to film an exercise video

Nancy, shipping on some of these items, (esp. things like a rebounder and step) would be pretty high, wouldn't it? Maybe that's why no one does.

Diana what's 'craigslist?"

Shipping would be a problem, but maybe if you see someone that lives in your area, a trade would be possible. There's a little throw away paper here called the "Advertiser" that contains nothing but classified ads and they charge only about $2 a line. That's another option if you have such a paper in your area.

You name it, I think I have it. The benefits of being an instructor in the past. No I take that back, I don't have a coreboard or rebounder. But I love all of the equipment that I have. It really helps me with boredome.

Used frequently:
Reebok step
Dumbbells
Barbell
Cobalt Flux dance pad
Konami dance pad (learning to do doubles)
Cheap Walmart mat
Fanny Lifter (it's held together surprisingly well)

Used not so frequently:
Body bar
Assorted tubes
Ankle weights
Stability ball
Medicine ball
Pink weighted balls from Walmart
Jogging stroller

Really wish I could use more:
Bike
Rollerblades

And I can say from experience, it's next to impossible (at least around here) to sell exercise machinery that isn't worth around $1000 or more. Play It Again Sports flat-out won't accept infomercial machines, and every community yard sale has at least a dozen rowers and riders and other stuff sitting forlornly. And on community clean-up days, there they are in or outside the dumpster.

Here is what I have....

Firm 3 in 1 box (which broke last week, but still can use in incline)
Wooden Fanny lifter - 14 inches (which is getting more use now other
than being a fan stand)
Buns of Steel step (used often-glad I have kept it all these years)
Another step that came w/Cathe's All Step video (never use - shouldn't
have bought)
assorted weights 3-20lbs (use a lot)
barbell (use sometimes)
ankle weights (use sometimes)
Sculpting Stick (use sometimes)
Stability Ball (use sometimes)
Yoga mat (use a lot)
Yoga block (use rarely, but will keep it)
Resistance bands (use sometimes)
many videos (use most of them)

On it's way Firm BSS4 with TransFirmer (3 in 1 box is history when that
gets here)

Cool Too Many Videos; Love them weights

I have more than 100 videos. I use all the Cathe but the newer ones mostly for a change up. Never use the Firm or most of the other ones. Giggle at Susan Powter; Millenium Stretch and Jane Fonda in her high heel boots. Most of my videos aren't tough enough. thank goodness for Cathe.

Bryan Kest yoga videos are used so often they are nearly worn out. I want more. His CDs don't do it for me.

I love:
+ yoga mat which Bryan Kest called an airplane landing strip it is so long and thick
+ Step - as much fro weight lifteing as for step
+ Polar heart meter with the calorie burn - a toy
+ Weightlifting gloves - must
+ Body Pump barbell set - weights change more eaisly than normal set.
+ Dumbells changeable but leave them on 20 lb, 18 lb, 16 lb, 14 lb; dumbells of 10 lb 6 lb - wish I had a few more in between. I HATE changing weights in the middle of a workout.

Use rarely:
+ stability ball
+ dynaband with Hardcore Cathe videos (only witrh her videos then it is a must have and a good one.)

Never use:
+ rowing machine - used lots 5 years ago
+ Bosu - 2 workouts, trashed knees; waste of money
+ bands, with and without handles

Desperately want a spin bike but they are soooo expensive in Europe.
