Yes, I agree with the suggestions for skirts and dresses. I have a comparatively small waist to hip ratio (12 inch difference) and it's hard to find jeans, let alone shorts! My legs are finally thickening up the way I like, but it's also made it harder to find shorts. I like my shorts to skim my thighs, but not be super tight. I also hate that gap in the waist! Hard to find when my waist is small and butt is big! So I've gone to maxi skirts. The real problem is going to be finding a swim suit

I agree with this suggestion. I wouldn't call my legs big, however, I have found that as I've gotten older, skirts and skorts are much more flattering on me in general than shorts.

I'm going to suggest Winsor Pilates - Buns And Thigh Sculpting. A lot of people got good results.

I have about a 10-11 inch difference between waist and hips, curvy! Since I found skorts, I don't even own shorts except for workout shorts. Skorts are much more flattering and nice and girly, too.

Kohl's has a good selection of skorts on their site. I do not know if they have them in the store.

Hi, Cher,
This doesn' t really fall into your original category of light weight/high rep, but several years ago I did a Firm 1-2-3 rotation ( Classic vols. 1, 2, and 3 for 4 rounds) and this had the surprising result of paring down my outer thighs or "saddlebags ". Several of us on vf tried this and, iirc, got results that varied widely.

I think Lithium's suggestion, above, of the Winsor w/o, is a good one, also. I think it contains the "sidekick series" which always makes me feel long and lean!

Hth,
Sandrine

I know we can’t talk diet. But getting rid of bread and pasta. Etc. helped tremendously. Hope this didn’t break the rules.

Thank you everyone for all the great suggestions. I did end up going shopping and finally did find some shorts. Tried on about 25 pair and found one style that fit well enough so I bought 3 pair! They are a little big in the waist so I’ll have to wear a belt but at least it’s something. I’m still going to try to use some of the suggestions here to tighten up my lower half a little but I don’t have to stress over it as much now. Of course, I’m still open to any other suggestions anyone may have.
