How do you plan your rotations?

What types of guidelines or rules do you follow? How do you decide how to organize your rotations? Do you go week by week or do you try to cycle through s longer period of time to fit in everything you want to do? For example I've been looking at Flipping 50 which for my age and situation recommends no more than one HIIT and one heavy weight session per week with 48 and 72 hours between each respectively. Would that mean 48 before any other type of cardio workout or 48 before another HIIT? Same for weights.

hi Eeyore,

I think the 48-72 hour thing is a recommendation not to do another HIIT or weight workout during that time but you could do other workouts like steady state cardio, yoga, Pilates, etc.

I keep meaning to look more into Debra's plans....

I agree Donna. That's the way I read it too. Also, that you might be able to do the Hitt and heavy weights back to back if you needed? The whole idea is not spiking your cortisol with too much stress, I suppose.
