I second margaret Richards! She is supportive of beginners and encourages you to use light weights, put down your weights and even just continue with no weights. I also like the Firm Basics, and some of the pink firms are good too. I am not home but will look for titles tonight.
True beginners are difficult to find. I went back to lifting after a long illness and wow, the Basics were not easy to me.
It is easy to get discouraged. I ended up liking kathy kaeler's workout class which is in nice short sections. Maybe some 10 minute solutions would be good too.

I'm glad you mentioned this workout. I'd all but forgotten it, and it's perfect for my current needs. The variety of equipment makes things interesting.

I did the one with weighted balls, and the main thing I learned is not to do this workout just after I put lotion on my hands.
