There's no way my stick blender could handle the frozen fruit I put in my smoothies. My basic blender does just fine with that.

My Ninja is supposed to be even more powerful. It also has smoothie cups that I can screw the blender blades onto, blend the smoothie and then take them off. It's kind of a handy deal for making salad dressings

I'm loving my Ninja right now, it's fairly new at 4 weeks ownership. Ice, frozen berries, carrot, celery, other greens and nuts and seeds all pulverise well. My stick blender mostly only handles cooked foods.

OLD THREAD ALERT.

Our 2YO Nutribullet model WL088D-23 motor started smelling like burned rubber and the blade would not turn. We found a Ninja 1000-watt blender at Costco for $57 incl tax - it was on sale.

we used our nutribullet practically every day and it was 900 watts. i'm hoping the Ninja will last longer.

I hadn’t even remembered posting in this!
Looks like I have had value for money as my Ninja is still going strong after all these years and being used approx 3 times a week. For smoothies it has been fabulous but for just a shake and water I prefer my Tupperware plastic shaker, no noise and just as quick.

I have a Ninja, and I've been used it about four or five times a week lately, for the past four weeks. It's worked really well. I've had teeth work done and have to eat soft or liquid foods, so I use it to grind up meat in broth. It's gross, but I need the protein. I've been using my blender for smoothies, because it's bigger and I can get more in.
