Special sneakers for Zumba

Does anyone have the sneakers from Zumba? I was thinking of buying them but they are $75 on the Zumba website. Went to the mall today and stopped in Lady Footlocker to see if they had something similar. The sales person showed me a Nike sneaker that is comparable to the Zumba sneakers, but they were $85.

So, what do you all use? What do you recommend? I have hardwood floors.

I have the Nike Musique dance sneakers and for me they are worth it because of all the pivoting. I go to Zumba twice a week and my knees really bothered me before I bought the Nikes. I am lucky that my gym offers the Zumba classes at no extra charge so I didn't mind paying for the shoes.

I just bought the Capezio Women's Web Dance Sneaker from Amazon to use for Zumba. They are $59.95 and have gotten great reviews from people who have used them fro Zumba.

Hmmm I think the name of the sneaker I saw at Lady Footlocker was Nike Free.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will check them out. I hate to order online and not be able to try on, maybe Modells them.

Anyone have the Nike Free? Other suggestions also welcome.

These look good. Will they work for kickboxing too where there is a lot of pivoting?

I wear Ryka's they cost about $75.00. Where I do zumba they sell these straps that go on your shoes that make it easier to pivot. Girls that wear gym shoes instead of the dance shoes use these straps. They cost about $15.00.

I have Nike Free's and I love them! However, I do wear Bloch Dance shoes for most dance vids. They have the smooth surface where the ball of the foot is so it's easy to pivot. However, when previewing Zumba the other day, I was thinking I might wear my Nike' Free's as there seemed to be a bit too much impact for my dance sneakers.
