Might want to start your own personal card catalog.

I just finished Bel Canto by Ann Patchett. Very unique and enjoyable, although there are warnings throughout that it will not end well.

I've never read anything by her and have always been curious about her. I just read that she had a number of essays published in Seventeen magazine in the 80s, which is just when I would have been reading that magazine. I tried to find a list of titles but haven't had any success so far.

Good idea! At least I did not buy it again!

I had never read anything by her either. This book was given to me years ago and I never read it and totally forgot I had it, until my manager leant it to me last week and my husband said "You already have that book". I'm going to follow the author on Goodreads.

I read that years ago and really liked it though it is very sad. The only other book I've read by Ann Patchett is State of Wonder which also had an interesting premise but I didn't enjoy it as much.

I've read about four books by her and have enjoyed them all. I did not read Bel Canto though. I'll have to add it to my list.

I just finished Girl In Ice by Erica Ferencik. The concept of the story line was intriguing but it was a bit strange...

Finished The Long Weekend by Gilly Macmillan. While the story line was good, it seemed to go on and on and on.... I skimmed over many parts to get to the end and find out who the bad guy was.
