I forgot to add, I think Jessica Valent has, either on her You Tube or Instagram, videos where she talks about these issues and she has recommendations for what to ask your Dr., etc.

Thank you guys so much!

My Ob/gyn ordered 20 PT sessions yesterday and I start Monday.

I'm just a little nervous doing any exercise right now that isn't related to this issue.

Good luck! I hope PT helps!!
Maybe your PT can assist you in recommending exercises that would be suitable for your condition.

I have a friend who is a pelvic floor PT and she says every woman should start weekly strengthening (or a couple times a week if you can remember!). She also recommends PT before attempting exercising on your own if you have a prolapse or a known issue.

I do these occasionally (which needs to be more!) to help with pelvic floor strength:

I really like physiotherapist Michelle Kenaway. She has videos for different pelvic issues. I don't have prolapse, but she has a book and exercises for chronic pelvic pain.

Here are some of her prolapse videos:

She is the first one to say that, while Kegels are good for many issues, they can make pelvic pain much worse.

Plus, I love her accent!

I was going to say that too. Kegels are contraindicated if your pelvic floor is hypertonic. Dr. Bri has videos for that too!
