I finished Kellerman's The Murderer's Daughter. It was engaging but pretty far-fetched - similar to the Jane Hawk novels!

I’ve had this book on my TBR pile on and off for about 10 years!
I have even started to read it about 5 different times.

I feel accomplished and delighted!
I finally read it all the way through and delighted with the story.

I have put it on my official TBRagain pile.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Madeleine L’ Engle’s The Rock that is Higher

I've had this experience with a few books; Annie Dillard's Pilgrim at Tinker Creek was one. Sometimes you just need the right moment to pick up the right book.

Paused reading The Raven Boys because two library holds showed up on Friday.

Started with The Cartographers by Peng Shepherd and am enjoying it a lot: mystery thriller with magical realism elements involving maps. Great fun so far. Next up is Our Lady of Mysterious Ailments by T. Huchu, book 2 in his Edinburgh Nights series.

Who wants ten free Kindle books from international authors? Offer good until April 27. I take advantage every year.
