I just finished American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. It was riveting! I vacillated between not being able to put it down & having to take a break and catch my breath.

I really enjoyed The Count of Monte Cristo. There was supposed to be a TV adaptation in the works. I hope that's still happening.

That’s a heart-breaker of a book. It’s one that makes me cry. To think about what those people went through is devastating

Becky Chambers has a new book out. Psalm for the Wild Built (Monk and Robot #1)
It's a novella, but I'm getting it anyway, since I enjoy re-reading her work pretty consistently.

My internet and phone service were out for several days, so I missed the actual release day. Sigh. Wish I'd pre-ordered.

Me too! TV is a better way to do it because they will have space to do the story justice without cutting out so much the way the movies always do.

Just finished the new Becky Chambers novella, Psalm for the Wild Built.
Short and sweet. Thought provoking and gentle.

On the other hand, I wish this work were much longer. Don't want to have to wait for more of the story.

I keep hearing great reviews of that one, even from people who don't usually read sci fi/fantasy.

I’m listening to Later, Stephen King’s newest. It’s really good & the narrator is awesome which makes such a difference with an audiobook.

I’m also reading & enjoying When We Believed in Mermaids by Barbara O’Neal.

Glad to hear you like it Pam; I'll get around to that eventually.

I've been reading multiple books! I'm finishing up a book on Joseph Pilates called Caged Lion and reading a book of essays, This is One Way to Dance (and there are several others, too).
