Step Across America

Who's enjoying this series? I've only done workouts 1, 2 & 3. At first I was a little bored, but with workout 3, I'm already not so bored and there are 50. Jenny states the workouts are meant to do in order; learning more each workout.

I did several when I first got the set but I haven’t done any in a while. I feel like the choreography increases in complexity but I wonder if they really go in order from least advanced to most advanced. Her walking workouts seem to be all the same intensity more or less. Some have boosts of higher impact though. The step choreography isn’t crazy which is nice for a day when I don’t want to think too much.

Reviving an old thread....

Reviving this thread to see if anyone is still enjoying these workouts? I added a short Jenny Ford step workout from her original Step Across America to one of her walking workouts from her Walk Across America set. It was doable, and didn't hurt my knee the next day. So now I'm interested in this set again. I will wait for a steep price discount of course, but wondered how folks were getting along with these.

I haven't done Jenny's workouts since first getting the WAA set, unfortunately. I do miss her bubbly personality and she is a joy to work out with! I only got through about half of the set (25 states or so) and did them in order.

She's really great, but I just have so many other things I'm committed to right now. Maybe I can add her in on one of my active rest days...possibly, lol!

I do these occasionally. The choreography isn’t as complex as I would like so I tend to get bored with them if I do them too frequently. If you see them for a good price, they’re fun to have.

I have stepped through 44 of the 50 states so far.

A few states have different - and better - scenery than the Walk Across America set, which is nice.

The states do progress in difficulty slowly, and the last batch (#35 or #40 through the end) have short bursts of optional HIIT if that interests you.

I dislike the TIFTing, especially since she only does the final version four times before moving to the next combo.

The simple choreography is a plus, but it's so simple that it makes the TIFTing tedious (for me). I don't know if this is a feature of all step workouts or just this set, but it adds to the dread factor. I like the set, but I've been doing two to three states per week which is WAY too often for my interest level.

After I finish all 50 states, I can see doing the the workouts with the best scenery or the most interesting moves once every week or two. (In contrast, I would probably do her WAA workouts twice a week.)

I should finish the set in two weeks. I'll be glad to post detailed notes about specific moves if people are interested.
