Question Anyone with Addison's Disease / Schmidt's Syndrome / and/or Autoimmune Polyendocrine

Is there anyone here with Addison's Disease, Schmidt's Syndrome (multiple Autoimmune diseases, usually including hypothyroid or Hashimoto's and/or type 1 Diabetes) also called Autoimmune Polyendocrine Syndrome Type II?

I have fought all this thru each one (with other diseases included) and just need to find others with these issues or those with smilar issues and how they manage to get thru the day, move, eat, etc.. I continue to move daily because I feel its as important as my meds, but am learning it can also be counterproductive as well. (just like needing to eat differently for each of these problems and other associated problems).

I just wondered if others might be here or do most give upon fitness? I have heard of a few that have run marathons (I have no idea how, lol- and I will never be a runner I don't think, haha)

Not needing sympathy, altho I would love your prayers, they are always greately appreciated. I am just wondering where to find others and/or what they do on a daily basis.

Thankyou all and many blessings <3

I deal with Hashi's and Raynaud's. It's part of the reason I scaled back my workouts to all non impact fusion style workouts. I do a lot of lifestyle modifications and modify my nutrition/eating. There are a lot of people and groups to follow on social media. The support is amazing!

I dont have those disorders, but I do have a rare autoimmune disorder called Pemphigus Vulgaris. It definitely changed my life and took a few years to adjust. I second Jackie's recommendation to seek out online or in person support groups. I am sure there will be guidance on the best kind of exercise to do. I had to take a ton of prednisone & my weight soared, so there was a lot of inspiration & help about weight loss for my condition.

It meant so much to be able to talk to others going through the same thing. Veterans of the disease shared best meds, referred doctors, best vitamins that helped with deficiency specific to our condition, etc.. I would be in so much worse shape if I had not found the support groups.

Usually, there is a national foundation that caters to any disorder/disease. Mine is really rare and there is a official foundation for it. They connected me with peers who even helped and came to visit when I was still in the hospital.

My prayers are with you & my heart goes out to you! Take it a day at a time & celebrate each little victory. I made it though & so many others have as well - you are doing the right thing by reaching out.

Hugs & take care

Bless you both and thankyou. My Dr had put me on an RX and gave me no info. And I realized today, in looking for info, I wasn't even looking for the right things. - and what I needed to be looking for was mostly what y'all said.
thank y'all for answering. It means a lot. I was ready to give up earlier.(Not give up- give up, just feeling alone). Instinct tells you to push harder, and in some things that can really back fire.
Bless the both of you, and much health and continued wisdom to you both. Thankyou!
