Oops, I'm sorry it took me so long to see this thread.
Yes, I set up the VFers on Facebook group after this thread: VF on Facebook?. Another VFer and I moderate it (as in approve people who want to join - everyone seems to have behaved over there in their posts ). No, it's not officially associated with VF, but we intended for it to be by VFers for VFers. My feeling has always been that it's up to WWWendy and the VF administrative types to create or ask someone to create an official fan page or group or whatever FB wants people to do next. Since they're busy moderating us and figuring out how to pay the bills, we just did the little FB fan-type group. No, it never has been particularly active. It never has been a platform for reading VF on mobile devices, and I'm not even sure if that's possible through FB at this point in time. The group has kind of floundered for a raison d'etre, so to speak. There's the inherent question of why chat on FB when we can chat on VF; the only time there seems to be much in the way of chatting has been when VF has gone down for any length of time (read: more than 5 minutes). The group's main purpose seems to have been a place for us to gather virtually off VF and on FB, and I think a number of us have found VFer friends there, for better or for worse. The group is scheduled to be archived. If there's enough interest, we could try to revive it. I'd appreciate ideas on what to do with it if we were to revive it, however. The more active group for VFers on Facebook, started by another VFer, has definitely been the Beautiful Losers, which allows for a space to talk about non-VF guideline things, too.
