Smile Janis Saffell Hardcore Kickbox Circuit

I'm thinking of getting Janis Saffell Hardcore kickbox circuit DVD. Does anybody have it? Could you tell me what it's like?

I have it and haven't tried it yet (LOL, it's been months) but I have read of several posters who really like it a lot. I have previewed it and I think it looks good, less choreographed than Janice's other stuff, and Guillermo seems charming to me (also very good segments as well). I have also read this would be considered a 'cardio day w/ strength intensifiers', as opposed to a 'cardio/strength circuit' day. Hope this helps.

janis saffell hardcore kickbox circuit

Hi kayk40,

You need to get this now!!!

It was recommended to me by this forum, and I have not looked back since, as a matter of fact I have to restrain my self from doing this daily.
It has kickbox segments, and weight/strength segments working upper and lower body.

You definately want this!.

Smile it's a fav!

i like this one a lot! it's a great workout...it is as Kathy
described: "cardio & strength intensifiers (like that!)..
I love the cardio sections--janis & guillermo alternate
as leads. i really like him. inbetween cardio are the
strength portions. I tend to do just the leg ones--which
are very good-even without weights. It's a keeper!!

great workout!

Funny you should ask about this workout - I wanted to start a thread myself to say how much I looooove it! I bought this one a couple of weeks ago and have done it several times since. The moves are really fun, less dancy than Janis' previous kickboxing workouts and more similar to Powerstrike. In terms of intensity, I would say it is more intense than Powerstrike Millenium 3 but not as exhausting as Powerstrike Millenium 1.
What I like most about this workout is the "attitude". They are just plain having fun! Guillermo is a great instructor - he cues very well and has lots of energy (OK, so he's not too painful to look at either... ). There is also a great rapport between the two instructors and the participants. This is a workout that makes me sweat and smile!

Does she use the weighted gloves? I'm thinking about buying some for Strike Zone.

I just traded for this, I'm hoping to get it tomorrow!

I don't have weighted gloves tho, is it possible to hold a 2lb dumbell in your hand or does it ruin the punching form?

I agree with everyone, cardio with strength intensifiers. Fun too. Janis uses gloves, I don't have any and wasn't willing to try dumbells, not sure I could maintain my form. The DVD includes bonus abs, Aikido form, led by Guillermo. Enjoy!

Mindi I wouldn't recommend holding weights. I do recommend the weighted gloves. They make this workout great!
