I know I have mentioned this series before but I think it quite good
By Nathan Dylan Goodwin it is a series about a modern forensic genealogist. Mysteries and family histories.

I love mysteries!! Here are a couple of my favorites. I’ll add more later.

Krista Davis - Domestic Diva series - The Diva Runs Out of Thyme is the first book in the series.

G.M. Malliet - Max Tudor series - Wicked Autumn is the first book in the series. Max is a former MI-5 agent who is now an Anglican Vicar in a small English village.

Also Louise Penny’s Inspector Gamache series.

So many good suggestions!

I have three favorites and collect the books as they come out. All of them are set in England or Scotland, and are witty and well written.

Alan Bradley’s Flavia de Luce series. A 12 year old girl sleuth who is a genius at chemistry. Set in England in a small village after WWII.

Catriona McPherson’s Dandy Gilver series. Set in Scotland after WWI.

Jeanne Dams Dorothy Martin series. A retired, widowed American school teacher moves to a small village in England.

I also just started reading one I really like. The Victorian Mysteries by Robin Paige. Set in England in the late 1800’s.

Here is a link to a blog/website that might be helpful:

https://www.cozy-mystery.com/

It's specific to cozy mysteries and as you stated before, there are tons to choose from. I have a long list going of all the books and series I want to read.

If you are looking for ones set in England, Jenn McKinlay has a hat shop mystery series that is set in London. I personally haven't read these though.

Here is another link for British themed mysteries, same site:

Cozy mysteries are my favorite, I read a ton of them a few years ago, I am still reading but it takes me longer to get through books these days so not reading as many. Would like to get back into it more as it's the perfect escape from this crazy world.

I have read quite a few and honestly enjoyed most of them, there were really only a few that were just okay and even less that I didn't enjoy enough to finish. I guess I pick out good ones that I like.

Favorite authors include Laura Bradford, Amanda Flower, Laura Levine and Eva Gates.

Hope the website will be helpful to you in picking some out.

Okay my suggestion was obviously not even in the same ballpark! I didn't know there was a genre of "cozy mystery", I thought it was the OP's own description. So what exactly is a cozy mystery?

I love cozy mysteries. Laura Childs tea shop series is a favorite of mine.

Louise Penny is one of my favorite authors of all time though I've never thought of hers as cozy mysteries though I guess technically they are.

Also Sister Frevisse series by Margaret Fraser.

And if you haven't seen Knives Out, watch it! Great cozy mystery movie.

Might not be your cup of tea, but my favorite mystery writer/series is Robert B. Parker/Spenser novels. There must be at least 20 Spenser novels. Excellent writing, funny too.

Don't worry about it, Vantreesta. Cozy isn't the only type I enjoy. (I wouldn't call Broadchurch 'cozy'!) Your suggestion has been noted! Thank you!
