Thanks for the new thread, difit!
I am currently reading David Baldacci's The Target. It is part of his Will Robie series, which are the only books I have read by him. I am also still ready Katy Bowman's Alignment Matters. Oh, I recently finished A Nantucket Wedding by Nancy Thayer. That was just okay; I wasn't crazy about the characters.

In the spring thread, someone (sorry, I've forgotten who it was) asked about Crazy Rich Asians. I had some travel over the weekend so I loaded it up and am pretty far into it now (listening, not reading). It started out very slowly and I could not get interested in the characters -- some of them I couldn't even really keep apart in my mind. But I stuck with it and it certainly wouldn't go on any list of favorites but I will finish it. I'm curious to know if the original poster about it, or anyone else, has read it.
Just about ready for another read if anyone has suggestions for a good summer listen. Thanks! |

I started another new book that I picked up at a book sale awhile back called Crow Lake. We are going on vacation in a couple of weeks and I have to decide what I'm going to bring with me! I think I'm going to bring a couple of other book sale novels, One Summer by David Baldacci and one by Lisa Scottoline (don't remember the title of that one). I also have a review book that looks like a comedy, The Shakespeare Requirement. And that's probably plenty, but I may also throw in the non-fiction book Alone Together.

Beth - I loved Crow Lake! I also read & enjoyed Road Ends by the same author.
Right now I'm reading The Cruelest Month, an Inspector Gamache mystery by another Canadian author, Louise Penny. It's the third in the series set in rural Quebec & I am enjoying it.
