Get Fit at 40+, looks like a slow weight workout

Just posted by Mary: https://www.totalfitnessdvds.com/Get...-UK-s-p/13.htm

I can do without the sit ups, planks and mountain climbers, but the lifting looks like a decent speed.

I watched the clip earlier and thought it looked promising.

I like this clip as well.

Most of it appears slower and controlled, until the second dvd, did I see burpees

Although I generally avoid split workouts, just in case circumstances causes me to miss working a body part

Both workouts look like they are on the same set, with the same music. Same director, maybe? I'm glad to see slow and controlled weights on both of them.

You can buy separate episodes on Amazon Video for $1.99 each!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077CH1QX6...ing=UTF8&psc=1

I bought the weight workout, which is the only part I am interested in. Here's a breakdown:

3 rounds:
10 bodyweight split squats, each side
10 dumbbell overhead presses
11 jumping jacks

3 rounds:
10 goblet squats
10 dumbbell floor presses
Plank, about 45 seconds

3 rounds:
10 dumbbell "deadlifts" (more like squats with dumbbells at sides, like the Firm used to do)
10 dumbbell upright rows
11 mountain climbers

There are 20 second rests between exercises and 30 second rests between rounds, the only times when a timer is shown on the screen.

Pros: he's pleasant and low-key (no shouting or repeated catch phrases) and gives lots of form pointers. He shows some mods like during the planks, you can drop to your knees or go up in pike position. He actually does the workout, since there are no backgrounders, and is rather sweaty and breathless toward the end!

Cons: oddly, he doesn't show any mods for the mountain climbers (I think I will do "standing" climbers instead). Sometimes he talks about "men's" and "ladie's" weights which bugs me a little. But overall I like this workout - reminds me a lot of Cathe's PHA which I also like - and certainly a good price.
