Enjoy your race, buff!

The local race did happen this past wknd but they didn't take race day registrations this year and I missed the sign up cutoff by like two days. They didn't time it anyway so kind of would have been a letdown anyway, I guess. I had forgotten the HM runs through our neighborhood now.

Came to post times. Knowing I would do so definitely had me running faster. It was a 4K so my total time was 23:29 which was 9:27 min/mile. I went out fast, slowed for the next 2 loops, and picked it up at the end. I ran, I smiled, the trees were in bloom and smelled good - it was awesome! I'm proud of myself. I had no idea of how to pace myself as the timer didn't have the ah time on it when we passed and it was a 4K I had never done before. And I'm still happy. Hope ya'll had a great day.

Dang, girl! You haven't been running and you're still faster than I am! Way to go!

That's so good to hear. I bet Caroline workouts kept you in shape for running. This win will keep you getting out there.

I agree with Vannie. I wouldn't be going that fast either.

Are we going to plan another 5k this summer? Last summer's Aug 1 run got me out there running three times a week.

Thanks Sandy and Vannie for the encouragement. I would love to do another virtual - I forgot that about our run. Whatever day works best for you is fine by me. When did we do it last year?

I checked my emails from last spring, and it was pretty much this week Helen suggested we do a 5k. She picked the end of July because that would give us enough time to build to 5k.

Saturday, July 31, 2021 works for me.

I need to get started!

That looks like it'll work on my end as well.
