The moves are classic - some would say old-fashioned - but they're all doable, even easy and fun. And they get results. Between them all they range from 20 to 70 minutes in length and span decades, which is kinda fun to watch. And of course the beautiful scenery: Hawaiian beaches and even Jerusalem!

I started this summer doing Firms but found myself gravitating to these. I'm not trying to look or feel like an athlete, just want to do daily exercise that makes me feel healthy, lose weight, firm up and smile at the same time.
I don't think I've ever done any Gilad workouts. Any sets you recommend?

Ha, I think everything I own is with the goal of "fit enough"! I have Gilad, Jari (just some of her stuff), Jane Adams, KCM, Leslie, some Pilates/Barre.

Not sets, I recommend buying individual workouts. Used copies are dead cheap on Amazon. In fact I recommend against buying his Quick Fit System set. The strength workouts on it (1 DVD) are fantastic and to the point but the 3 cardio DVDs are the only truly boring Gilad workouts I've encountered. I've kept the strength DVD but for buying a Gilad strength workout, I recommend his Express 2-DVD set which has a LOT of content in short routines.

Gilad's older workouts combined old school aerobics (modifiable mixed impact and lots of low impact as well) with 'toning' exercises, usually unweighted standing, with abs and floorwork at the end. His newer releases use dumbbells and/or bands and a light medicine ball. There are lots of clips on Youtube under his Youtube channel, old and new: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK9...Zdd0C89aD8IuLQ

and even a full episode of one of his short 30th anniversary shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cU4aQWbmdvM&t=448s

Here's a clip from one of his Total Sculpt Plus workouts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzMq...6Mq7wkHwtAdADY

I did the 55min Getting Fit in Jerusalem this morning -- one of my alltime favorites, I loved it! "Mommy! Where are you going?" he shouts as his mom confuses the choreography, lol.

Fit in Jerusalem, Best of Bodies in Motion, and 45/45 Split Routine are examples of his older workouts.
Total Body Sculpt Plus, Cuts and Curves and Lord of the Abs are examples of the more modern Gilad.

I really like and use them all, cheesy or not. I also love his sister Ada's DVD, Basic Training. An hour long, roughly half low impact aerobics and half simplified strength training (she only uses 1 set of light weights, fwiw, though you can of course use what you want). Here's a clip from that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rqi1XkF30F4

Hope that helps!

Gina recommended Gilad's Express DVDs -- I do, as well. And those are available to preview online (full content). Search "Body Challenge 2008" on YouTube from Discovery Life channel.

I had his 45/45 on VHS and I think I did it so many times I wore it out! I also did his Step & Tone workout all the time! I may have to get this on dvd! I also like his Total Body Sculpt Plus Cutting Edge and the Peak Performance as well as the Ultimate Body Sculpt Series.

Wow, thanks so much Gina and Alison too! I will definitely check out youtube and amazon too. I like the looks of those clips on youtube! It's so funny after all these years I've never done a Gilad workout.

Ah well, it's never too late.
Whatever workouts you end up doing (Gilad or others), I hope you enjoy them.
