Getting to Know You! (Spring Edition)

I think the last time I started one of these was just after New Year's. I thought maybe it was time for another one. Answer whatever questions you want. Maybe we'll learn something about each other.

1. What is/are your favorite spring flower(s)?

2. What is your favorite thing about spring in your area?

3. What is your least favorite thing about spring in your area?

4. Does your fitness routine change in the spring? How?

5. What is one thing you want to do or accomplish this spring?

1. What is/are your favorite spring flower(s)? Irises (traditional for a long time) and azaleas (since moving to NC)

2. What is your favorite thing about spring in your area? By mid to late March, it is generally fairly warm and winter is just a memory.

3. What is your least favorite thing about spring in your area? When everything starts budding out, it's like a pollen bomb has gone off. I never really had to worry about allergies until we moved here 3 years ago.

4. Does your fitness routine change in the spring? How? Yes. I get outside a whole lot more. That's probably pretty normal

5. What is one thing you want to accomplish this spring? I want to get my house organized, at least, the out-of-control areas. I've finished my office/craft room. Next is the family room.

1. What is/are your favorite spring flower(s)?
Orange blossoms. The air is fragrant with them, it smells so nice.

2. What is your favorite thing about spring in your area?
That it gets warmer, and warms up to the 70’s and 80’s, 90’s by the end of April. I can wear shorts again.

3. What is your least favorite thing about spring in your area? Allergies. But by May it’s over, nothing blooms in the heat of the summer. The other least favorite is knowing the summer heat will be here soon.

4. Does your fitness routine change in the spring? How?
I get outside less. I bike and walk outdoors more often in the winter.

5. What is one thing you want to do or accomplish this spring?
I want to paint our bedroom. It desperately needs it.

1. What is/are your favorite spring flower(s)? Orange blossoms--the scent is heavenly.

2. What is your favorite thing about spring in your area? The yellow blooms of the Palo Verde tree. Those trees are joyous explosions of color.

I'm taking two courses through the Therapeutic Writing Institute. I want to finish them, but more importantly, I'm hoping these two courses help me redirect my attention to projects that I have ignored for too long.
