My DVD VCR might be breaking

Hi My DVD VCR does not sound too good. It might be breaking. This is the most important thing in my house to me. Just DVD players do not look like they cost a lot? This is not good. Not good at all. I am thinking about getting just a DVD player for my T.V. What is the best one to get to play all my DVDs?

Get a Blu-ray player so you can play both Blu-ray Discs and regular DVDs. Many also have smart capabilities so you could stream as well. We have a couple of Samsung players that allow us to stream Netflix which is nice.

If you are still using VHS tapes, check pawn shops for used players. They are still out there for a reasonable price.

Yes Thank you. I might do that too. I do still have VHS tapes. I think the VCR is working ok? It's the DVD making a loud sound.

I get all my VCRs from Goodwill and other thrift stores. There are some online that can be had for reasonable prices considering that the tech isn't made anymore.

Depends. Are they dvds or data dvds (mp4s, avi, mkv directly burned to a dvd)? Generally, most newer dvd players will play both types of dvds just fine and you should be able to play your custom made dvds. Any dvd player should have its features listed online so you can always check.

This is my fear,
I still have vhs I do on the occasion so having mine break, that would break my heart

I might just have to find one somewhere and get a replacement just in case.
