I've been dealing with cardio issues for some time now. Mine is directly related to menopause for sure. The issues weren't during the workout, but rather after. I felt drained, with little energy for the rest of my day.
I know I've been a broken record about this, but I went from step and floor aerobics to rebounding. As far as endurance goes, ... I can maintain my HR consistently without stopping for 30 to 40 mins. No way could I do this with other forms.
I had to listen to my body and make changes so I could keep moving. Lots of good stretching. For weights I'm trying out SBF.
Change is good, not it's not less than or more. Just different.
