funny story

I used to work at the local zoo. Sometimes I had to work nights because one of the female gorillas was pregnant and we had to keep an eye on her through a camera. Anyway, as night came and it was time for sleep, they'd all line up against the wall with their feet up in the air and sleep that way. No circulation issues for them.

Jane, that is a great story. They instinctively know what to do which is a lesson for us I guess.
A few years ago there was a day that I spent many hours on my feet -more than typical. IIRC, I had done over 20,000 steps just shopping, gardening, cooking etc. and my feet and legs were so tired. I did legs up the wall and got so much relief I don’t know why I don’t do it more often.

Jane, I love that story! And I'm a bit envious you worked at a zoo!

Amazing!

TBH, it wasn't much on my radar, but then I read somewhere that it can help with foot issues (even plantar fasciitis -- which I'm battling). Once I started reading more about the benefits, I became more interested.

Loved Jane's story too!

If you have access to Inner Dimension TV, Lauren has a gentle 30 min. class called "Calm" with Legs Up The Wall in it. It is really a great relaxing class!

It's been great reading all the replies. I would like to do legs up the wall more often. It's nice to have new options to follow along.

Jeannine - I hadn't heard of Kate Vantucci. I tried her Upper Back Rx practice yesterday and felt pretty great after.

Beth - Thank you for the links. The easy inverted pose using a chair looks like a good beginner option. I hadn't seen that variation before.

Jane - I was initially interested in legs up the wall pose for circulation. I'm glad to know it worked for the gorillas

Mell - Those routines look awesome! Especially SaraBeth's- it's the perfect length!

Man between the toe stretching, deep breathing and the legs on the wall this felt GREAT last night..not just my body either.

I may not be able to add to a morning, or every evening, but I am definitely plugging this in to more of my heavier workout evenings...thanks!!
