Our blizzard has moved on and left quite a few presents.
My town's official count is 22" but we have four and five foot drifts to contend with. I had 20" on my car roof on one side and the other side was fully buried in a drift up over my head on the right side because of the wind. The snowblower died ten minutes after DH started working on the driveway so we've got to do it all by hand. I went out yesterday and unburied my car, and removed all of that snow from around it for about a foot. It's very heavy and a struggle because it was packed between the car and my neighbor's hedges, so I used my little emergency car shovel, a/k/a my Barbie shovel, and made it a high rep/low weight workout.
After that I just took a hot shower and laid on the floor with propping for my sadhana. I dread going back out. DH will work on the snowblower and see if he can get it running. We haven't done it all by hand in ten years and we're both so much more arthritic. I want to call my son to come up and help but DH is being stubborn about it.
Pam, how did you deal with this during your Winnipeg years?
Good morning
