Aww, Paine, thank you - you were the inspiration! Yes, I think it would work well before bed, especially if you just do the first 3 poses (maybe skip the backbend and twist).

Pat and Pam, hope you like the videos if you try them - I appreciate all the and support I get here! I'm still learning about video editing and using social media functions (I posted an Instagram "Reel" this morning, haha).

Wishing those who have had long work weeks a very happy TGIF!!!

Today I did Jessica’s Total Body Strength Training: Total Body Band. It’s a good one, perfect for travel or a small space.

We are all settled in at our campsite, had a fun bbq & visit with DS1, DIL, & the girls.

Waves to all!

This living in two places takes some getting used to! My exercise schedule has been suffering from temporary neglect; I’ve done a few outdoor walks, about three yoga sessions, and two weight workouts in the past two weeks. One thing I was able to make time for is Kassandra’s Live Yoga Full Moon Class last Tuesday that was a bonus for pre-ordering her book.

It is difficult to get into a schedule/routine after this relocation, hindered also by the fact that my exercise space is the living room, not a separate room. There is a very small area in the bedroom I can do a YouTube yoga video if I don’t need much room.

We’ve gone for day trips to our southern home on two occasions to pick up some things and to run errands there which included stops at Trader Joe’s and Target on Thursday. I have to share a great find for me from Target: measuring spoons that actually fit into a spice jar! I also like that the set includes a 1/2 tablespoon which I use often.

We put up a hummingbird feeder a couple of days ago and have one regular visitor so far. On Wednesday we had a big elk hang out in our backyard for a couple of hours! Then he hopped over the chain-link fence into our neighbor’s yard. Haven’t seen him since.

Sandra: You might want to check this out for your retirement countdown: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/create. I’ve enjoyed your comments on the new Jessica dvds you got; I think I’ll be diving into mine in the next week.

Pat: Thanks for sharing your indigo bunting sighting! We used to see some beautiful buntings when we lived in Texas, both the blue and the multicolored Painted Bunting. Sorry to hear about your house problems (oil tank and mold), but I hope they are resolved for now.

cyana: Glad to hear that you are still participating in the Cubii World Cycling Tour and that your work around the house is getting done.

Paine: You have quite the walking partner to keep you motivated!

Pam: Hope you are enjoying your camping weekend!

Beth: Glad you are getting some nice weather and got to go for a bike ride! Thanks for sharing info on the vagus workshop; I hope to learn more about it. Great work on adding more videos to your YouTube channel; I want to check them out.

Pam, I saw some of your photos on FB - looks like fun, have a good time!

Carolyn, once you are more settled up north, will you stop going back and forth? Spoon that fit into a spice jar are a good find! I have to get out on my bike again soon.

I taught Mind-Body-Brew for the first time this season today and it was a lot of fun! I was a bit apprehensive about the weather since it was only mid-50s and cloudy this morning. However, the sun came out by the time class started - the class went well and we had a good group.

Home Improvement (all Lower Body workout = 31 minutes)

Margaret fried my lower body this morning with Home Improvement. I used to always do Home Improvement with 2.5 pounds on each ankle but today I was struggling without any ankle weights on!

Carolyn, it takes time settling into a new home. I'm sure you'll soon get back into a routine with your exercise.
Thanks for the link to the measuring spoons! I also use the 1/2 Tablespoon measurement often.
I really enjoy having a walking buddy!

Pam, enjoy your visit with family!

I'm waving to everyone!

Happy Week-end to all. DH and I have been sitting out on the front porch enjoying a delightful morning, which is a nice respite from the heat wave that continues.

In case anyone is interested, YMAA is having a 40% off flash sale today, which is a good sale for this time of year. Their best sales tend to be around Black Friday/Cyber Monday, etc.

Waves to ALL. Planning to work out later. Back to the porch!

Hi everyone!

No workout for me on Friday or Saturday. My left knee, which I thought was becoming somewhat stable, is acting up again. Bending the knee through certain ranges of motion causes pain. I can still function, especially if I wear a knee brace, but have to be careful. If I don't see any improvement, I'll go back to my doctor. As far as

Today's Workout: I've decided to go back to upper/lower body splits, followed by daily stretching/mobility. Today was the Upper Body routine from Jessica Smith's Walk Strong 3, followed by Rejuvenation from Jessica's Stretch + Relax. Tomorrow it is back to Sandra's Knee Rehab routine (sigh).

Carolyn: Thanks for the link to the countdown website! What I decided to do was get a phone app to track my days to retirement. I learned my Retirement begins in 97 days!

Waving to all!

Hi all! I filmed the Afternoon video of my yin series; it will post on YT tomorrow morning.

I did another Lift with Cee Beginner's routine today followed by this nice basic stretchy yin class:

Good morning everyone! Sorry to be MIA again. I've been spending some time outdoors in the miraculous weather we've been having, catching up on outdoor chores and beach time.

Friday:

~ LWR Feel Amazing Challenge W3D7
~ Gardening light
~ YogiBethC Morning Yin Yoga
~ 6,053 steps

Saturday:

~ Walk with DS
~ Gardening
~ 7,808 steps

Sunday:

~ Jane Adams Gentle Yoga Core Strength & Flexibility
~ Beach walk
~ 6,203 steps

I decided to bail on Cee's 40-4-40 challenge. I've let myself get so weak and the thought of going through another bout of severe DOMS is daunting me. I plan to regain some strength first and then restart with her beginners rotation.
