Yes the 8 hour time frame was a mind boggled for me too. TBH it would make me uncertain that the stylist knew what she was doing. The most I’ve spent is 3 and a half for foil coloring and cut and style. However I understand that since you are a salon newbie you wouldn’t have a frame of reference. The stylist knew that and should have done a better job at advising you. That said I would hope they wouldn’t charge you for correction but I would leave a small tip if it’s the same person or a larger tip if it’s someone different. I would think twice about two things—-going red is a challenge and a lot of upkeep so I would probably not do it again, and I would also look into going to a different salon in the future.
