Good Morning,
Thursday was an active day at work and I did CHE: Wild Horse at night to make it to over 11,000 steps for the day.
Yesterday was also an active day at work, and then I did CHE: Rope & Ride last night to make it to over 11,500 steps for the day.
I'm surprising myself by being willing to get up and get in my steps late at night.
I think it's a combination of I'm stress eating a lot because my unstable coworker has been up to her usual unreasonable antics and it's caused a lot of upheaval for me and my other coworkers, so I'm trying to counter the extra calories by getting in more movement, and it also helps me to blow off a little steam, though I'm doing the CHs gently, so they're more fun movement than a hardcore workout.
As far as abandoning BR, I noticed that I can make myself get up and do a Country Heat, but for the mood I'm in lately, I can't make myself deal with Jillian's tough woman, snarling schtick which I find fairly annoying (though she does also joke around with the background people). Also, I feel like I want to be doing more with weights so the BR circuits just don't fit with what I'd prefer to be doing right now.
I looked into LIIFT4 on BBoD because they are in the 30-min range (I watched the first 2 workouts) but they didn't hold my interest much (too much repetition and Joel doesn't actually do any of the workouts, he just walks around talking the whole time, which I didn't find appealing). So I looked into some other options and narrowed it down to maybe trying Chalene Extreme again or doing Lift with Cee. I'm going to think about it this weekend. CE is really only 3 strength workouts a week, and if I plan to do one on the weekend, it would really only be 2 during the week. I would continue to do Country Heat for my cardio. LwC has a few different programs so I need to check them out to see what the differences are and which one I would most likely stick with. We'll see.
SB - Great job with your walks (and PT and kb swings)!
It seems like you are doing a great job getting back on track.
I'm glad that your ortho confirmed that the slight swelling is normal; it's surprising to hear that it could last for up to a year. I'm also glad that she was able to weigh in definitively on the antibiotics for the root canal. Sounds like you're really getting back to your old routine of exercising, running errands and socializing; I'm glad for you!
I need to get out and go to the store. It rained all day yesterday here as a result of Ian, but the weather was not nearly as bad as they had predicted. I hope there's still plenty of bread and milk at the store.
Hope you have a great day!
