22 pounds...

Doesn't seem super heavy until you have to hold it at chest height for like 30 minutes!! Whew!

I bought oldest DD a mirrored jewelry holder/armoire for her birthday. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01EY...b_b_asin_title

We decided to mount it to the wall since it was quite heavy, but we had a heck of a time with my slightly unlevel screws. I spent ages holding that sucker upright, chest height, trying to manhandle it into place. (We were working in a really tight corner.)

My biceps and shoulders are fried!

That's a really cute cabinet! But yeah, it's sort of shocking how even if you lift weights, lifting something up that's awkwardly shaped and holding it for longer than you lift a weight is dramatic. One of my cats is 15 lbs., and I notice that if I carry her around the house, it suddenly gets much more tiring than lifting two 10-lb. weights to do, like, biceps curls or something. (It could also be that the dumbbells don't squirm. )

Alison, you'll be sore tomorrow! Good job at getting it mounted. That is a nice Jewelry armoire, very practical too. Your daughter will get a lot of use out of it.

I hope so! It was pricey but she has soooo many accessories piled up on her desk. I'm hoping this will help her to get it under control, lol.
