BB Tai Cheng: Yay or nay

Reading about this Beach Body set via a tag search, I garnered the strong impression it was a dud. I was leaning towards acquiring it via Mary's sale, but had pre-buyer's remorse after reading the comments here. With the passage of time, for those who kept the system: do you still do it? Was it worth the price to you? Thanks in advance for any thoughts...

NO!!!!!

NO, NO, NO

This is a major dud. I had it for a brief while. I truly can't remember that much except for being bored out of my skull. I do remember that the first 20 minutes or so of each workout is NOT Tai Chi (or his version of Tai Chi) but is what he calls, IIRC, a 'reset.' And the reset is a set of exercises designed to get your body ready for his Tai Chi, except that it felt like a not very good version of and certainly not inspired by Classical Stretch/Essentrics,

Then he has you practice a few of his Tai Chi moves. You do a couple each day, to learn a routine, you add them all together to make the whole routine.

I made it through two weeks before I hauled them to Goodwill. I didn't even bother putting them in the Share the Wealth thread because I would pity the poor fool who wanted them.

Please don't make me pity you.

Yes, for me this was another Baladea. I may have sent it back or just tossed it. It was bad.

HATED IT. Really, really tried to like it but I sent it back to Mary within two weeks.

And it's too bad because I loved the instructor.

Yeah, I liked him, and not just because he was eye candy.

Another no for Tai Cheng.. So boooorrrring!

I’d recommend Scott Cole’s tai chi workouts. Cheaper and more fun.

I parted with it very quickly. It was amazingly slow...and not in a meditative-calming way.

Just. Say. No.

I only made it through 2 workouts. (The second shortest rotation I ever quit!)

I like the instructor, Dr. Mark Cheng.

https://www.drmarkcheng.com/

I actually spoke to him on the phone years ago when I was looking for kettlebell instruction. He was very gracious.
