looking build strength

I am looking to build strength and need workouts that are not too fast paced and beginner as I have something going on with my hip. When I walk it sometimes stops me in my tracks and it hurts...kinda feels like it's wants to come out of the socket...

Any ideas on exercise that will strengthen my hips and groin?

Today I did Jessica smith total body time saver on her metabolism booster dvd and it was a good pace.

If things are that bad, you should probably visit a doctor if you haven't already, so they can X ray your hip. They will probably point you in the direction of physical therapy. I don't think you should let this slide. It might get worse.

I agree with Jane. You don't want to be dealing with it still a decade later like I am. I delayed seeing a doctor for a couple months and made it worse during that time thinking I knew how to fix it when I didn't even know what was wrong.

You don't have to be fast, just keep moving forward.

thanks ladies...You are probably right. I just sent a message to my dr. I was referred to a dr for my hip last year and went for the initial appointment. Just didn't have money for the MRI. I was actually referred for the other side of my hip though...getting old stinks

Caroline Jordan has videos on youtube that help to strengthen the hips, among other things. It sounds like getting it checked by a doctor would be in order, though. I hope you get the help you need.
