New fitness gadget

Just wondering if anybody has seen or used this gadget?

https://www.simplyfitboard.com/?mid=8316119

My husband is severely overweight and I'm wondering if this would help him get moving. 😊

I once bought something similar at a toystore for my nephew because I thought it was a lot of fun, but I'm not sure he played with it. I wish I bought one for myself instead.

However, I'm not sure if it would be right for your husband (nor do I know if it is wrong.) If he is interested in it, I think it would be worth a try. But if he is trying to lose weight, mostly he just needs to find something he can do consistently.

(P.S. What is your professional fitness relationship? )

If he's severely overweight, perhaps just getting him to start out regularly walking?
My DH started that way, with us both walking down town every Saturday morning to collect the newspapers & home via the beach where we sat & read them with a coffee in the pavillion there.

Since then, he began to really enjoy the regular walk, and has built up to 3 days/week, and includes a long stretch of stairs at the water's edge. Has bought a HRM chest strap & proudly tells me how far he went, his peak HR & how many calories he burnt.

It looks a lot like the Firm Wave. Maybe slicker on the bottom so you can swivel.

I have one but haven't really gotten into using it. It's harder than it looks! At least for me, because I have crummy balance. This device really works your core" they sell them on QVC and I had some sort of points to use with a credit card and got it really cheap with the discount.

I believe they also sell this on QVC. Might have some reviews you can look at.

Ha. Not a new concept. My mom had a square one when I was a kid. We used to play with it.

All the best w/ your DH's efforts. There was a wobble board similar to this at Goodwill today (made by Reebok) for $3.99. If you are interested in it (or the similar The FIRM The Wave mentioned above) maybe try ebay or craigslist for a 'deal'? I know The Wave has a weight/poundage restriction disclaimer with it, so it might be helpful to check out that detail as well before purchase. All the best to you both.
