My decluttering efforts seem to be paying off.
I had a friend in for a socially distanced lunch today, and it really didn't take a huge amount of effort to get things tidy enough to suit me. Sure, anything related to craft supplies and recipes is a bit messy, but the rest of my space actually looks pretty good. One huge factor was that after cleaning out closets and drawers, I have space available to store things. Was it perfectly tidy? No, but good enough is good enough.

I found a cake pan that I was going to sell on FB marketplace last year but couldn't find it when it sold (not kidding.) I am giving it to my son's MIL who also said she would take 2 tablecloths. So I will soon have only 9....
I still have a box of graphic novels to donate-would prefer to give it to an organization that helps kids with reading disabilities/autism. I decided to save the evening dresses to donate to the women's shelter consignment shop when it opens up. Plan on having a bag and a box ready to add things to as I go through my closet again soon. |
