There is some cosmic thing going on....this morning I called to schedule my mammogram, and the hold music was "Wind Beneath by Wings " (on a loop of the ONE song) and we saw the movie "Beaches " on our first date. Frank told me later that I should have known how much he liked me since he agreed to go see that. What guy wants to see the movie Beaches?"

To have known a love like that, Sherry, you were so lucky to have each other. Not many people share that kind of love. The loss is obviously devastating and one you likely will never get over (as it should be), but you know he's watching over you.

I vaguely recall your telling me quite some time ago that you enjoyed The Alarm. When I read about Frank's passing, I listened to "Rain in the Summer Time"

Thank you, Suzanne. That is very kind.

Yes, I am a huge fan of The Alarm. Thank you for playing them.

Oh Sherry that is so painful. You are such a good soul.
I haven't heard that term since my grandmother Schwartz was alive. Thank you for the memory of it <3

Sherry I just read your post. It brought me to tears. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your husband.

Lol. I had never heard of a "grief buffet," but that is true. When my MIL passed in October we received no less than a dozen windchimes, with only a couple as duplicates. I didn't realize that was a thing.

Thank you all so much.

We are going to pick up my husband's ashes and death certificates today. My son had said he would drive me, but I think it will be too hard for him. I called to ask my brother in law to take us. I think having someone else there will help. I will go inside alone, but knowing he is in the car will help. I know he would go in with me if I need him but I will try to do it alone. My son does not want to go inside. I told him that was okay.

Sherry, sounds like you have made a plan that is best for all concerned. Sending you hugs as you navigate this.

Oh, Sherry, what a hard day for you and your son. Sending you hugs and positive thoughts. And, again, I am so very sorry (don't have better words for how my heart hurts for you and your son).
