I took a look at CardioTone. It almost seems like he doesn't like to talk - maybe he's shy? I'm so used to instructors with non-stop chatter -that can be good or bad.

In this one, he doesn't give any verbal cues. Personally, I prefer it this way especially that his non-verbal cues are good and music is great. I've done this workout many, many times and it never gets old. Maybe because he doesn't talk and I can enjoy the workout itself and the music? I did this workout again this morning, and it brightened my day!

I love cardiotone G because since there is no cueing I just turn the volume down & play my own music. For the most part I enjoy his workouts but have a very hard time hearing him & usually don't like the music. I never have a problem following him with no sound.

I like it too. I really really have grown tired of the "you can do it" and "you're doing great" ... it's silly. So, I love Hamelin for that. The thread earlier about what popular workouts we don't like got me thinking about what I like. I really like no-nonsense. I remember Gin Miller's Reebok The Video and she didn't talk. She pointed and said one word. It's my all time favorite and now I know why.

I downloaded Hamelin's step video with Vimeo and like it. But, there are times that the video stalls--I can still hear him cueing but can't see it because the video isn't moving--it then it goes to super speed. Does anyone know how to fix that?? Aside from that---I can see this being a new favorite.

Thank you for the article!!

He's not shy at all Here's another cardiotone workout where he talks and cues https://vimeo.com/184704824 Honestly, I can't stand the endless babbling of some instructors. It makes me want to jump out the window. Specially when you do the workout many times, the whole thing gets old fast.

Gina, I would try downloading the workout again. Sometimes the file gets corrupted, specially if you went for a super high definition (Over 720p)

I've been reading a lot about Blitzmatics. I'm just wondering if it's similar to barre work with pulsing moves like Lotte Berke. It seems he studied that method. I already have workouts like this. How is Blitzmatics different?

It's nothing like barre. You wear ankle weights with standing moves. It's tough, but energizing

I'm far from a Blitzmatics expert but to me the moves don't feel very barre-like, either. It definitely seems like something quite unique.

Thanks Sue and bee. Now, I want to try Blitzmatics too. I only have three of his live course series and his first DMW series. Then I have a few of his tastics series. I haven't done all of them yet but that's just part of being a VFer.
