This is what I made yesterday. Easy Peasy and yummy.
Happiness is when my fur baby shares the sunny spot on the yoga mat.

I'm not sure if the black eyed peas are terribly lucky but I'm not dead yet so figure that counts for something

late to this thread - i find it very interesting about the black eyed peas.

my mom used to cook prime rib on New Year's Day served on the good china! i didn't continue that tradition because my mom's cooking was a hard act to follow.

instead, i have adopted eating Japanese mochi, Chinese jai or Japanese ozoni soup. i prefer my jai to be more like a soup. i've discovered that a lot of people make their jai differently.

we just celebrated Chinese (lunar) New Year and i got to try my co-worker's version of Chinese jai. it's for wealth and prosperity for the coming year. also, it's the year of the Tiger, my personal zodiac.
