Hi Ladies,

I was up early today and got a treadmill (Nepal) hike in before my regular outdoor hike. After lunch I added Cindy Whitmarsh 10 Minute Solution Target Toning for Beginners (thighs, buns, arms & shoulders.) To finish things off I added Jessica Smith's Yoga Fusion Fix (Stress Relief & Relaxation.) Ready for a nap after all of this, LOL.

Donna, I might join you in a WS rotation but wouldn't want to start until I finish my 18 hike Nepal series, so I'm not doing too much walking. I finished my 6th one, so have 12 to go. Then, I can lighten up on the TM a bit after that. When were you thinking of starting? I would like to do a Jessica rotation, as it's been so long...but don't want anything too intense, haha. I'll look over the WS sets to see what's in store and maybe I'll just scrap what I'm doing if you want to begin sooner than March. I don't have anything set in stone and am flexible.

Hi Pam

I can start whenever - so no rush if you want to finish Nepal first!

I was thinking that I would do WS 1.0 first then maybe go on to WS 2.0 and then WS 3.0.

I have a copy of the WS 1.0 rotation called "Phase 2" which gives you an option for each day for more variety.

I can write it up if you don't have it

And, really, I'm good starting any time - I'm just going with the flow right now, LOL!

Yesterday was work cardio and Improved Healths Day One of her 20 minute strength workouts. This was upper body. I think I will stick with IH during the week, I don’t get as tired. I love the challenge of Jessica’s workouts, even the shorter ones, but I get so tired! I also did some stretching and foam rolling before bed.

Today was work cardio and stretching before bed.

Donna, things are fine, all of us are pretty easy going. They are like family to us. Dh became friends with them while he and the husband were in the Air Force in Okinawa in the late 80’s. I can go to my room when I want alone time. But it’s been only five days so far!

Pam, renovations would be exhausting! My dh does most of ours, but then he gets grouchy when it doesn’t go well.

Good evening everyone,

Yes, Donna....I found Countdown Phase 2 of Jessica's Walk Strong rotation and it looks great. She has some stretching, workouts from 6 mile mix, total body balance and some more weight loss walks. THIS WILL BE FUN!!!

I like the idea of having options....but not so many that it becomes AP.

I also prefer to have a plan, instead of choosing workouts willy-nilly. ;-)

I might want to begin the last week in February, since I'll be done with Nepal by then. That last week of the month I'm always antsy to begin something else, anyway. Or, is that weird?

Anyone else want to join in and follow a loose or partial rotation, if you can't commit to every day?

Hi Everyone,

I didn't get anything else in yesterday, last night i ended up going out to dinner w/ some of my co-workers from my old department. It was good - but a lot of food!

Today, I went with one of Jessica's from You Tube:

Total Body Resistance Training - Jump Start Sculpting Routine - I think this was from January, 2022. And, i really enjoyed it. It is slower strength training, more functional and similar to her Strong & Centered workouts. Even though it was 40 min it seemed to go fast for me.

The sun it out today so I'll probably get out to walk later.

Pam - I'm good with the last week of Feb! I like the Phase 2 rotation b/c of the options - I need choices, but I do get overwhelmed if I have too many

Sherry - I'm glad it is all working out! I like the Improved Health workouts I did so far. I can definitely see how having an active job and trying to do Jessica's workouts would be too much all at once on a regular basis.

Waves, everyone -

Donna

Hi Ladies,

Only had time this afternoon for a treadmill workout (Nepal #7.) Hoping to get some stretching in before bed tonight!

This climb to base camp Mt. Everest series has been so fascinating. I've learned so much and not quite halfway through. It's a dangerous feat and so much training is involved, adjusting to the higher elevations, being prepared (and having the right equipment) but not so much that it slows you down. Climbing in the right conditions, watching the weather updates constantly. Saving up huge amounts of money which go towards trainers who've done the climb and the Sherpa's who carry items up to the base camp for the adventurers (food, oxygen, ropes, gear, etc.) It's all just so crazy to imagine.

Now that I've been doing this hiking series, I've also been accompanying it with supplemental shows about Everest on Netflix and Amazon Prime. Some fascinating documentaries and series shows.

Just work cardio for today. I finally realized I need two rest days in between strength workouts. I think Debra from Flipping 50(?) said something similar, that as we get older we need more recovery time. I've been trying shorter and slower, but am still getting tired. It suddenly occurred to me that I need more time to recover. Hopefully, I can do Jessica's strength, crossing my fingers.

Pam, I think I might be able to commit to some of the strength workouts in Phase 2.

Donna, I'm glad you had a nice dinner with your co-workers. It's always good to keep in touch.
