Sunday's workouts were

Improved Health - 10 Minute Workout with Music from the 50s, 60s and 70s - 10 minutes & Morning Stretch, Breathe and Tone - 9 minutes;
This stretch felt more like toning than stretching, at least for the arms (or maybe they were still tired from the other day).

Lastics - Lastics Lite - Stretch Express - 15 minutes
Interesting stretching - pretty intense. Probably not for me.

Donna - Thanks for the mention of the CS instructors that you like. I believe Miranda is leading the 60s challenge, which doesn't surprise me. I think if I just make myself do it somewhat regularly I'll start to like it and appreciate the benefits...

Hi Everyone,

Thankfully, I have the day off from work today!

So, far I have done:

Improved Health (You Tube) - Interval Workout - 3500 steps. Day # 3 - I pulled it from this playlist:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...fa42ZHVbLNzXVa

After a longer warm-up steady state section it moved on to 5 rounds of 1 min fast walk/run - 2 min recovery moves. I didn't do a fast walk or run, I grabbed the purple portion of my Fanny Lifter and did basic step moves for 1 minute. That worked well.

This was a no-talking workout which i enjoy sometimes. It is funny I can go either way - I worked out w/ Pahla for years and all she did was talk, LOL!

I followed up with Improved Health - Strength Training 10-15 min per day

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...ZGaofBQIwjQF6B

I did Day # 4 which was lower body

I started off this month doing this workouts but then I quickly got bored - mainly b/c I started questioning whether they were "enough"- whatever that means.

At the moment, I have concluded that they are "enough" and Jules mentions that the strength series is progressive so, while the first few may be on the easier side for me, it sounds like they will get harder.

It is hard for me to find the right balance and then the right balance mentally, too. Where you aren't feeling like you are doing too little but then not feeling bad b/c you are doing too much.

I finished w/ Yoga w/ Kassandra - 20 min Yin Yoga - this was a nice one!

Probably a dog walk and some CS later.

hope everyone has a nice Monday!

Today's workouts were

Improved Health - Low Impact Cardio & Strength: Lower Body - 35 minutes;
This is a good little workout - about 20 minutes of cardio, 10 minutes of strength and 5 minutes of stretching.

Jessica Valant Pilates - Gentle Pilates - Knee Friendly - 11 minutes
This workout was filmed in Hawaii, I think. It's a very basic routine - I've done it before. I was looking for something on YouTube since I'm having issues streaming to my TVs.

Donna - I know, it's a struggle to figure out what is the right amount to do these days. Honestly I'd rather do too little than too much - I get exhausted from doing too much.

Hi!

For today I did:

Lively Ladies - Easy Cardio & Strength from 2/20/23 - I don't know that this one was "easy" maybe "simple" is a better word? It was a cardio/strength combo - 2 cardio moves followed by a strength move. The main part of the workout was 24 min, the rest was warm up and cool down. The intervals were 45 seconds on/15 seconds rest but you can work during the rest or take extra rest!

Lively Ladies - Every Day Stretches for Improved Flexibility

Whenever I do a LL workout I enjoy it. But I am learning, I need variety - doing the same instructor or the same type of workout every day just doesn't keep me interested.

Carol - I agree about doing too little vs. too much - too much can be tiring or can cause injury. Too little - means you still have energy to do other things!

Nice job w/ your workouts! I almost did that one from Improved Health myself!

Today's workout was

Improved Health - 1980s Workout - - 30 minutes

Gosh, this was a fun one! It moved pretty fast in spots too. Lots and lots of music that was familiar - Wham, Cyndi Lauper, Whitney Houston, Dire Straits, lots of good stuff.

Donna - I need to look that Lively Ladies stretch up, I imagine I would like it. The wind blew 65 mph today and is supposed to blow up to 70 mph tomorrow. Geez!

Hi Everyone,

Thing have just really been funky lately - I mean, nothing big or tragic, but just blah. Maybe it is the winter blues. From what I hear from talking to others, they are also experiencing it, too.

Anyway - for my workouts today:

CS 1406 - this was an all-standing routine

Gilad - Cardio Routine from his 60 min Low Impact Workout - this was nice, about 20-25 min of low impact floor cardio on the beach

and then, this evening I did Jane Adams - Gentle Yoga - Standing poses.

Carol - that '80's walk sounds like it would be right up my alley!

Today's workout was

Improved Health - Low Impact Cardio & Strength: Upper Body - 35 minutes

This is one of my favorite workouts! Especially considering that there's a Lower Body version too. Good workout - about 20 minutes of cardio, 10 minutes of upper body strength work and 5 minutes of stretching.

Donna - I bet you would like that 1980's workout - I recognized every single song except for one - and the 1980's are kind of past my radio/music listening era since I graduated from high school in 1974. It was really fun!

Carol - I'm a true '80's girl I was in HS and College in the 80s! I had the big hair, and all the other ridiculous looking fashions to go with it.

Hi Everyone,

Well, you guys are going to hate me - we are having gorgeous spring weather here it is 75 degrees and sunny. It is so weird that it could be so different not very far away. Anyway, I will take it. We get into the 40's on Saturday, but that is the worst of it. Can't complain.

Today I did:

Slim Series Express - Cardio Sculpt Express - I enjoyed this format - and realize this is the way I prefer to do weight training - aerobic weight training (like the FIRM). This was mainly an upper body workout. Some floor work from MR would have rounded this out nicely.

I also added on Silm in 6 - Silm & Limber for a 15 min stretch.

These are really good workouts! I forgot about them.

Honestly I'm enjoying dipping into my DVD collection, while You Tube is great, I feel it is over saturated with a lot of the same stuff right now - mainly, a lot of music-only workouts done with no cuing. I am sometimes in the mood for that, but it seems that is all anyone is putting out these days.

Anyway - hope everyone has a good day.

I think I'll do Slim Series Express Cardio Core tomorrow and maybe the longer stretch - Cool It Off Express.

Hope everyone has a good and safe day - especially if you are dealing with the snow and cold.

Today's workouts were

Improved Health - 30 Minute Dance Workout - 30 minutes;

Annie Pilates Physical Therapist - Strive Beginner Core Pilates with Resistance Loop - 20 minutes

These workouts were both fine.

Donna - Glad your weather is good. Ours was better today - very little wind, although it was chilly (but sunny). It's supposed to be 75 or so by Sunday, but the wind will be back.

Those are good workouts (the Slim in Six ones). I like having my weight work mixed in with my cardio stuff, a la Firm. That's one reason I like Jules' workouts. She often combines weight work with a cardio routine (after, before, during cardio, I really don't care).
