Since I skipped my strength workout yesterday, I combined two peloton calendar days. Upper and lower body. They had a 10 minute yoga class in the stack, focusing on quads only. Yikes! What a burner! Simple and effective.

Anyone watching football? Many friends and family can’t wait for the Eagles-Giants game today. My hubby hopes his team wins tomorrow. He made it home late last night but is feeling sick. Fighting a cough. It seems his whole team got it. One guy was really sick and probably spread it to all. Going to see if it’s Covid but the home tests aren’t always accurate. Glad he can rest today.

I decided on another new workout today - Amy Bento Advanced Step Challenge 5. Good grief, that workout is complicated! I watched the 20 minute tutorial and made it through about 30 minutes of the workout before quitting. If the music was better I might take the time to learn it. I think the music in Amy’s earlier workouts was so much better.

Kim.. I struggle with complicated step choreography. Of course especially now since the accident. I’ve gone back to just basic step routines on the floor. Kat has music that I enjoy, so then I don’t mind the more simple moves.

Kate… the surprise party sounded absolutely wonderful! Glad you had so much fun!

Bee… think about you often and hope you’re doing OK.

Forgot how much I enjoy Cathe’s Perfect Flow Yoga. More flexibility versus strength. I have come along way from when I first pulled it out after the accident. All the moves were doable and I really felt my whole body was stretched by the end. It was just what I needed after my 80s cycling class. This one was so much fun. Several songs from the movie Footloose. A favorite of mine back in the day. Still love Kevin Bacon!

DH tested negative but I’m still keeping my distance. Just don’t want to get sick.

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday friends! My word, I'm behind, because the week got away from me. Workouts first:
Tues: Cathe Low Max on 6 inches 'cuz my knees and feet were bugging me!
Weds: Callanetics Extreme
Thurs: Shovel Max and Hair Max and Errand Max
Fri: Horizontal Conditioning Volume 3, ouch!

FN2, you awesome cat people are the best taking Krabby in! How did things go? I have visions of carrier trauma, LOL. Of course that's because my guys RUN for the hills when they see that thing come out.

Kim, I so enjoy reading about your new-to-you workouts that seem to keep reproducing like bunnies!! I just imagine your collection growing and growing and growing which warms my heart.

Horusosiris, I keep forgetting I have Sleek Technique and haven't revisited that in I can't remember when. What is wrong with me??

Manleym, your post made me laugh and cry at the same time...Karens and funerals, UG. I'm so sorry for your friends

KateTT, so good to see you! I hope to hear about your barre venture! And yeah, um, no house plants here either though I wish I could. Too many cats!!

ChelePA, I'm so sorry your husband is sick. Mine has also been sick for about two weeks now (dunno what it is) and I never did get it (dunno why). Hope he gets some well deserved rest and is on the mend soon!

Have a great day all!

Hey Watulans,

Kittybug you changed your avatar again. I lose track of you! And yes, my collection keeps growing and growing, haha.

Chele, my husband is also sick, just a cold, which he thinks he caught from his boss who was sick last week. I’m trying to stay away from him too. I hate being sick. Your 80’s music workout sounds like a lot of fun. There isn’t much music that I don’t like, but when I love the music, it really makes the workout so much better, IMO.

Today I did an old, but new to me workout. Amy Bento All Pump. Ooooh I liked this one! It started with compound shoulder and leg work then went to single joint moves. It was straightforward, nothing crazy, just moderately high reps of basic exercises. It was only 40 minutes which I really liked because strength workout isn’t my favorite. Good stuff.

I hope everyone has a great week.

I'm back, hah!

Today I did Cathe's Lower Body Blast, the 80-ish minute premix with all of the sections. I haven't really done this long of a concentrated lower body weighted workout since injuring my hamstring over the summer (which still hurts but is MUCH better) and was shocked to find I felt way stronger than the last time I did this one! Like, what?? I've always used heavier weights than Cathe does in this one, but today was feeling I could go even heavier (which I didn't, just to be super duper cautious). Y'all, barre and Callanetics WORK. Or at least that's how I feel. We'll see how I feel about that when we get to STS 2.0, hah hah hah!!

Kim, hah, sorry about the avatar change. That's actually a silly painting I just finished, and when I realized it was, um, kitties and bugs, I laughed and decided it HAD to be my avatar for right now. Plus, my husband pointed out the black kitty is like a caricature of our Lux.

I used to have a place to do my crafty projects, but when Cheeto and Charli came along, we had to move things around to accommodate four cats, and there went my space.

Sooo...my husband got me an art table for my bday this year, and after getting several of the crafty projects that had been in my mind off my chest, I decided I wanted to learn to paint for reals (even though I can't draw a stinkin' stick figure, go figger!). I'm taking an online course right now, and this painting is the first in a series. I'm learning a crazy ton and really enjoying it so far even though I totally suck!

Hey, Bee, I'm a bit worried about you and hope you can check in soon. Crossing fingers you're just busy and all is well.

Got dinner in the oven, gotta go check on it. Waves and hugs all!

Kittybug… I love that you take art classes. Your first project is quite impressive! Hoping you’ll continue to share your talent.

Sorry to hear all the husbands are sick. It got worse at this house. My dh woke up around 4 am in excruciating pain with his back. Couldn’t move at all. I finally helped get him in a more comfortable position. Gave him some medication. Not sure if it was from his coughing or the way he was sleeping. Waiting until the doctor’s office opens this morning. I’m sure he’ll need a steroid but we’re also looking to consult a specialist in Philadelphia. This is happening way too much. And the doctors locally don’t have any great solutions to this reoccurring issue.

Glad he was able to fall back to sleep but I’ve been up since that time. Decided to get my workout in early since I don’t know what will be happening as the day progresses. Mix and match of Cathe and my Peloton calendar. Perfect Pump Premix-Lower Body Light Weights and Bands plus Core. Then Peloton Legs & Glutes plus Core. Finished with a short treadmill walk and stretching.

Hello, finally.... hello! Sorry to be so MIA lately.

Wow, a lot of sick hubbies -- I hope they are feeling better -- Chele, ooh, especially the back pain -- yikes!

kittybug, I am so impressed with your painting! I love it! So whimsical and fun!!

You are not going to believe it but... our power is out again! Went out in the middle of the night -- so crazy windy here! We were at a friend's house watching the 49er's last night and driving home something pelted onto the roof of the car. It was scary, but sounded much worse than it was. This morning we woke to three trees across roads between us and the freeway -- one with power lines down, so it may be a while. Big mess. Someone said they came equipped with the big portable lights they use, so they're figuring the work will continue into the darkness (even though they began at 6am). They have to put up at least one new pole and a transformer, too.

The only workout I've done worth mentioning (that is, that I can remember!) is I did CL #5 based on kittybug's mention (I think it was you, kittybug). I really enjoyed it, but yes, hard! I had to modify a bit. I'm feeling a bit sore in my right shoulder/tricep area -- I think it didn't help that I sleep on my right side. So I took it easy today (not that I could have done a video anyway, but I've gotten clever about working out without video by necessity).

Very excited with the Cathe update!

Bee…so glad you checked in. BUT you can’t catch a break. UGH! Hoping your power returns soon. Also happy you are all safe after the latest storm. Scary!

My husband was quite disappointed Dallas lost for a second year in a row to San Fran.

Oh my, Chele, your husband! I'm so sorry about his back! Any relief/news on that? Look at you, being the caretaker now. Wonder Watulan to the rescue!!

Bee, I'm SO glad to hear from you but geez, enough with the power out already, right? I'm also glad no trees came down ON your car while driving home. That is freaking scary!

Okay, ladies, you are kind but I have ZERO talent for painting and am just a beginner in learning mode. I've never enjoyed something so much that I suck at so bad, so there is that.

Today I decided to follow up yesterday's lower body extravaganza with Cathe's Pyramid Upper (the original which NEVER gets easier). I'm happy to be back to being able to do split weight workouts, yippee! I'm getting super excited for STS 2.0 as I know all of you are too.

Okay, everyone take care, feel better, and hang tough 'cuz we're Watulans!!
