reading old threads

inspired by recent admissions that VFers were tagging old threads, i discovered i have company!

also, the other thread about being depressed on how the VF forum has declined since its heyday...

i find renewal in reading old posts and tagging them through the lens of knowing what subjects have endured throughout the years. i am also usually late to the party when it comes to trying videos. thus, the forum is STILL relevant to me because i can read about videos released years ago and renew my motivation.

i've also noticed VFers who posted in old threads who are still VF Supporters - that is very affirming and inspiring. if i notice they are a VF supporter, i immediately look at their "join date" and smile to myself.

To clarify, I do really enjoy reading old posts and I find a lot of value in doing so. It's really funny to read an old post and then realize I'm reading myself! What depressed me was seeing the members list. Idk why! I also noticed that even those who haven't visited in years still have a picture up if they were a VF supporter at that time... Which is interesting. So if they were a supporter when they posted even years ago, would they still show up that way in old threads even if they never renewed it? I'm also curious what the N/A means.

Laura, I do the same thing sometimes. I’ll be looking through an old thread and think, “That sounds like something I would say.” Then I look and it WAS my post. 😆

Hahaha, how funny! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does that!

Laura, it’s definitely better than reading a post and thinking, “Who was the idiot that wrote that?” and finding out it was me. 😆

OMG, the drama I thought I'd never forget but did the Firm Fanny Lifter breaking and the stuff surrounding Goodtimes banning people from the old Firm Forum.

I get a kick out of reading my old posts every so often. There are many workouts I used to rave about that I got rid of long ago. Guess I later decided they weren't so great after all. lol

See, I'd find updates like that to be quite relevant nowadays! I can read the old raves, but it's nice to know what's stood the test of time too.
