Thanks Pat; I added that to my Watch Later.

Yesterday I did Kate V's "Hands Off" practice, which I enjoyed (I still need to do the scarf one!). I also did Day 4 of the 21-Day Yin Pose Challenge (seal) plus a short meditation in child's pose.

This morning I went to a vinyasa class. Vinyasa isn't my favorite style, but I knew the instructor and like how she teaches, not too rapid-fire; it felt good to do something more active. I'll probably also do today's yin pose later.

Day 24:
~My own yin practice after a 20,000+ steps. It sure felt good!

Day 25:
~Standing Chair Yoga Flow (Daytona Yoga YT) - This was really nice, did plank to updog to down dog with hands on the seat of the chair. This worked great for me. The floor here is hard and my mat is thin so I’m still into mostly standing practices.

Beth - I really liked Kate’s Hands Off. I have yet to try Fluffy Scarf, might wait until I get home to my thicker mats.

Source for Altar of the Heart DVD

I have looked for a DVD copy of Tilak's Altar of the Heart when mentioned in the past. This time I found a source.

Altar of the Heart

DVD was $7.20 plus $3.99 shipping. I got an order confirmation but not a shipping confirmation. I ordered on the 1st and received it on the 12th by USPS. Some of that was due to both the holiday and weather delays.

DVD is pressed and is sealed in plastic with a bit of bubble wrap in the case to hold the DVD down. I believe Tilak produced this himself. It's beautifully filmed and produced. Doesn't look 'easy' but very doable. I appreciate the suggestions in the VF reviews of early stopping points and Beth's sections and times.

Thanks, everyone, for prompting me to look for this again.

I agree with Pat that no sadhana would be complete without Tilak! I will have to make time to enjoy that practice.

Karen Jo, yes, he did. He once told me he'd never do another DVD because of what a PITA it was getting all of the music rights. Our loss - I love the music on the DVD! And yes, it is very doable, definitely experienced beginner/low intermediate level. There are still some things I modify.

Today I did Day 5 of the yin yoga challenge plus Baron Baptiste's Unlocking Athletic Power.

There will definitely be a few things i modify, Beth.

But they also do a good job of going through a more beginner pose to get to the more advanced version most of the time. Sorry to hear it was so hard for Tilak to produce.

Tilak does have a download version on his site for those who prefer that form.
