essential oils for meditation/meditation space and rituals

I am determined to establish a daily meditation practice. I think some kind of ritual like using essential oils will be helpful. I do not want to use a warmer or anything because I've read the fumes can be harmful to cats.

I will just be dabbing on a little oil instead. Does anyone have suggestions other than lavender, which gives me headaches. If you have any favorites, or suggestions for meditation rituals, please share them.

Thank you !
Sherry

I like bergamot, clary sage and Roman chamomile for calming. Ylang ylang is nice, but it is very strong and gives me a headache.

Peppermint oil is energizing and is supposed to help with workouts:

*All essential oils need to be diluted in a carrier oil before putting on to the skin.*

I only use oils in roller bottles prepared for skin application.
Usually, I massage the oil onto the soles of my feet then breathe in whatever remains on my hands.

Aldi recently had a great set of blends for sleep, chilling, energy and pain relief
which were much cheaper than what I had ordered from an online store:

I usually ordered with a discount code and enough bottles to get free shipping.
If I had to choose just one, it would be their Inner Peace:

Thanks, Barb! I think the Aldi by me still has them.

With all due respect to everyone's budgets, buying the cheapest essential oils is not always the best way to go. They are often highly diluted at best or downright fake at worst. I also don't think much of the big companies (Young Living, etc.) that tout essential oils as the cure-all for everything.

I buy my oils from companies that specialize in the best quality oils.

One that I have used often is Eden Botanicals:

https://www.edenbotanicals.com/

They sell tiny vial sample sizes of almost all of their oils. Also, they have sample sets. With the good stuff, you only need a drop or two in carrier oil.

Just my .02.

Aldi had two different sets.
I got the blends which work as well or even better than other blends I have tried.

I agree! I have a friend who is an aromatherapist. She doesn’t think much of the big MLM companies either, primarily because the reps have minimal education and often encourage oral ingestion of oils which she, and most aromatherapists, feel is unsafe practice. I buy oils through her from a local company for a reasonable price. I’ve also heard good things about Eden Botanicals.

I attended a relaxation yoga session put on by Settle into Stillness. They used an essential oil by ZOils on Etsy. I ended up purchasing 2 bottles - Empath and Lavender. Had the best night sleep in months.
