Skogg vs RKS

Hello All.

Need some pointers analyzing difference between these two kb systems.

Such as, cardio vs strength emphasis, which is better for fat loss, pros and cons various things, overly repetitive movements (like neither DH or I are doing 30 min of swings), that type of thing.

Thanks to everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving!

I have both. I love Skoggs for it simplicity. It has helped me fit in exercise every day if even for 15 minutes and it has improved my strength and definition. Many love RK because it is more varied and interesting. Either way i love KB and i have been exercising at hoem for years. I like Cathe's new low impact set too. Hope this helps

I have both. I love Skogg for the simplicity as well. You get a lot done in a short amount of time. It has by far the best tutorial of any I've seen and I really like Michael's demeanor.

I like parts of RKS for the variety. I thought workout one with the swings only would be boring but I actually like it a lot. But I can tell you that I'm never going to do 30 minutes of snatches. Just not interested!

I don't think I'm a good one to answer about the cardio vs strength training aspect because I think all kb work has a cardio effect for me. As for strength, I think it all depends on how heavy you go with the kb. And again, all kb workouts have strength training effect for me too.

Not much help was I??!!

Yep. That's Workout 18, The Snatchfest. I'm working my way through RKS, and I can tell you right now that I plan to skip this one.

Actually with 30 sec on 30 sec rest the 30 min Snatchfest is not that bad at all. Because of the length you really are forced to do them in correct form, that is using your hip. I love #18

I have both and while I enjoy RKS, Skogg is what I find myself reaching for over and over again. It's my new addiction. I just love Michael's teaching style so much.

co-sign on this...I do this workout once a week and believe me, it forces you to perform the snatch in correct form...if not, you will feel it and know it...love this workout

My husband and I own both.

Skogg, hands down. LOVE it.

Just thought I'd throw this out there: I just finished the Skogg 60 Day Challenge. Lost 24 pounds. Have been doing Skogg since August 1st. I've lost 46.5 pounds.

Yes, oh yes, I love Skogg. Building muscle, getting strong, and kicking fat to the curb.
