I don't know if it was running in the 88 degrees (real feel 92) and sun or the accumulation of everything but after lunch I could not stay awake! I ended up taking a 45 minute nap. I am so over this heat already! This morning we walked at 8:15 and it was 76 and sunny with no wind. We didn't even make it a mile. We need our walks!!

Yoga with Kassandra AM day 27 before breakfast, day 3 of SanFran's mini moves series, Caroline's HHT workout, 2.34 mi on the elliptical with a Fitscope workout to 70s music, 2.3 mi on the rower with a Dark Horse Rowing workout, the next day of Lauren's paper workout I'm doing and her Push, Pull, Swing challenge then for just fun I did a 15 min Leslie walk that showed up in my YT feed and finished up with day 2 of Kassandra's PM yoga.

Today 4 of us did “speedwork” on our run. 2 mile warmup, 6X400 meters fast, walk between reps and a half mile cooldown. It was 75 degrees and 94% humidity at 0545 thus morning. We did a 4 mile run/walk yesterday. We
do have to walk more till we get used to this beastly humidity.

Cher glad your eyes are doing well! Very glad that is over for you. I have to visit the retinal specialist occasionally too because of nearsightedness. Isn’t Cathe’s Basic Step a real gem?

Vannie do you space your workouts over the course of a day or do several at once or all at once? I love the thoughts of doing stuff over the course of the week in g day. I try to take a few very quick walk breaks at work or occasionally do some band work.

Oh Vannie is Yoga with Adriene as good as everyone says? I have a friend who is interested.

Waves to Jbliff and Gibbee.

Karen, usually I try to do a short yoga practice before breakfast and then the rest is all in one go in the afternoon. I like the idea of several sessions throughout the day but as you can see, since I get started I don't want to stop so multiple sessions might have me working out all day!

Ugh, your humidity is nasty! I don't know why ours has been so low lately. I need to get out earlier than I have been for runs. Actually that does mean I will have separate sessions bc I will run after we walk and then have breakfast. I won't have energy to do the rest without food!

Workout yesterday was Jessica Smith 10 Minute Happy Hiit Walk and Basic Step Upper Body Add-on.

Vannie - Nice job with your variety hours!

Karen - I love Yoga with Adrienne (when I actually do it).

If I don’t get back here this week, we’re going strawberry picking tomorrow so we go early so no workout and will be cleaning strawberries and making my strawberry jam and strawberry vodka for most the day. Then Friday we are going up north for the weekend after Joseph gets off work; but I’m going to have to drive him to work in the morning (30 minutes each way) so we can just pick him up right at 5:00 and head up and not have to wait for him to drive all the way back home. At least he works towards the way we go to go up north.

Cheryl, enjoy your strawberry picking (and drinking )! I'm so glad your eyes are healing well. Hopefully the retinal specialist won't find any concerns.

Karen, I missed your question about Adriene. I have only done that one very short practice, not enough to have an opinion.

I guess I never posted yesterday's workouts. Started with SanFran Fitness rebounding 5 min Mini Moves Series Day 4. These are nice to get back into rebounding and as a little warmup. Then did another segment from Quick Fix Buns, Crossrope Swing Into Summer day 2, strength/conditioning workout and Push, Pull, Swing challenge day 13, PunchLab app wk2 workout1 Advanced Straights and then Kassandra Morning Yoga Movement day 28. After our last walk I added on 1.0 mi for Run With Hal app 15k Base Training Plan day 31 and Best Exercises for Piriformis Syndrome and Quick Post-Run Yoga Routine. I miss evening runs but stopped doing them when I quit working thinking I didn't want to take away time with hubby by doing evening workouts. He's been working so late though that it doesn't really matter a lot of nights. I may try to do at least one evening run a week since I enjoy it so much. Especially when it's so stinking hot!

Well, I've managed to waste away another morning somehow. Better get my butt in gear.
