It was fun to read each of the letters from the Round Robin. Sorry, I was a bit late passing it on to Demeris, but hope she's enjoying the notes now, too! It would have been nice to respond to a few of you individually, but it makes sense to continue with the larger group since many of us have others we are corresponding with, as well! Either way, it's been a blast!

I'm not sure if I'm behind or not. This is a strange time in my life...

I need to write some letters and/or make some post cards!

It's been awhile since I have seen the round robin letters. But here it is several months later and I have been having a great time with my pen pals!

Me, too! I've really enjoyed getting to know people this way. And it's always nice to get something in the mailbox that isn't junk.

Hey, Pen Pals - I am getting a little behind. I haven’t forgotten any of you but things have been hectic. My mom came for a visit and tripped getting out of my Jeep her first day here. Nothing broken, but painful when she walks so I got her a walker and have been taking her wherever she wants to go. I live about 40 miles from her hotel so lots of time driving back and forth. She leaves today and I’ve arranged for her to get a wheelchair at the airport - just hope it all goes well - she’s taking the walker with her. Wish she didn’t have a 3 hour layover in Minneapolis.

Also, have had medical appts. in preparation for my surgery Tuesday. Not very happy because I have to be at the hospital al 6:00 a.m. and have to be finished with my 2nd bowel prep two hours prior to that, so guess I’ll have to drink my 2nd bowel prep around 2:00 a.m. Yuck.

Lots going on, but I will write to you all very soon!

So sorry to hear about your mom's fall and all the unexpected activity you've had because of it! Will she have a doctor check it out when she returns home?

Thinking about you and your upcoming surgery! Praying that all goes well and you can relax afterwards!

Yep - emergency room doctor told her to see her regular doctor when she gets home. I tried to get her out to my Jeep with her walker, but ended up calling an ambulance for her when she fainted in the hotel parking lot. She wasn’t very happy and got crabby with the EMT when he asked her if she knew what day of the week it was. She said, “I’m not supposed to know what day it is - I’m on vacation.” When I got to the hospital, paramedic told me she was doing fine but he said, “You might not want to go back there right away - she might take a swing at you!” 😁
